Arcade Fire post cryptic online message

Something is happening on October 6

Arcade Fire have posted a cryptic message online.

On their Neon Bible site vistors click on a closed eye to see it opening and revealing a message.

The message says: "Be oNline B October 6th".

Clicking on the message, visitors are sent to Beonlineb.com.

The website features pictures of closed eyes and the words: "October 6th" repeated 11 times.

I'm thinking it's their new album! And you can pay whatever you want to download it! Or you can order a special boxed version available in December!

either that or it's a Régine Chassagne sex tape.

Brian
I thought the Arcade Fire was Canadian.

they are. clearly he's a huge AF fan.
Brian only keeps close tabs on the nationalities of "good" bands… like Fall Out Boy, Ciara, Panic! at the Disco…
Not just Canadian, FRENCH-Canadian. Mondieu.
my money is on this being a simulcast of the show at Keyspan Park, as you have to be online on October 6 according to instructions…

Win Butler is from Texas and he went to boarding school at Exeter. He's more George W. Bush than he is French Canadian.
That's his origin, but I think the rest of the band is from Montreal. And they're based there. Aren't there like 8 people in the band?

Win's brother is also in the band and…as a result, also from Texas.
wow. this saturday's AF/LCD show is at RANDALLS ISLAND, not keyspan park.

nobody caught this?

I don't know anything concrete. I just know that *if* there was going to be anything, it would be at the 500-capacity Music Hall of Williamsburg and that you would need your ticket stub from Randall's Island to get in, and that doors would be at 1am.
until arcade fire drop their label and go truly indie (i.e. release a free album online), they will be continuously upstaged by radiohead.
Yeah…they still need to release their "OK Computer", then they can do that.

So Radiohead has been continuously upstaged by the Smashing Pumpkins for the last 7 years?

no.
jesus.
i wish SP would just go away again.
Umm dude…the "free album" will be released in traditional CD format in December by Parlophone (UK) and Capitol Records (US). Capitol Records is NOT indie :)
