the average age of the board has dropped by at least 8 years in the last week alone…….
I know I'll lose some metal head points for this but I like a wide variety and I've been down since three dollar bill but has anyone heard the new Limp bizkit. They got back wes, their old guitarist. Let me tell ya. It's fucking awesome. One song goes,"I see priest molesting children, terrosists blowing up buildings, a man in rage killing dimebag on stage, whats this world coming to, Should I send my kid to sunday school, so you can fuck him. Seriously, it's good shit.

Yeah, but on the flipside, you'll make so many friends here.

It's not dark yet, Mr. Dylan….
I glad this discussion is taking place, now The Forum can get rid of that pesky reputation that we only discuss, Britpop, Bikes and Football here.

Feel free to intelligently discuss the latest Limp Bizkit album…
Just got around to this thread. Need to give my 2 cents. I've been down with system since before their debut album came out, but saw them last night for the first time since that era. They absolutely did NOT disappoint.

For a band that is only several shows into touring after a 2 year hiatus, they sounded absolutely incredible. Couldnt have been tighter. And quite frankly, the torrid pace of that show, literaly song after song, was a feat in and of itself as far as a musicians endurance. Reviews of past gureilla shows indicated a nearly identical setlist, however they lasted closer to 90 minutes (probably less sick = more vocal between songs).

I noticed darons ambivalence from the start, but it made sense when i found out that they all are suffering from varying degrees from the flu.

I guess they just said lets get through this as painlessly as possible. I'll take that over them calling in sick - which is what toronto got.

you saw a band at perhaps their absolute apex, in a phenomenal venue. stop your bitching.
Seriously, this topic/posts are great. The plane has crashed into the side of the mountain! Now excuse me, I have to finish watching TRL!
Why am I starting to think we're all going to get Punk'd soon?

Man, I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or serious?
More good news: SOAD will be signing their new album at the Best Buy in Burbank next week.

It's funny how much people hate limp bizkit.
yeah, it makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. fred durst is arguably our generation's finest cultural spokesman. his observations are always nuanced barbs directed towards social ills and mass apathy and ambivalence. i once saw fred wearing a sonic youth t-shirt. how can he be so bad if he's down with the underground?

They were from Irvine, CA, they were contrived by a music business exec, and they were called Rage Against the Machine.
It seems like some of you guys expect SOAD to be super heros. It says on their website that they came down with "seasonal illness" and they had to cancel the show after the 9:30 club. I'm guessing it was too late to cancel the 9:30 club show so they just had to go out there and do it. If it is true that they were actually sick then I give them credit for trying. They are only human and humans get sick. I know when I get sick it's no fun. As far as their performance I think they did a good job. They sounded great. Yes, I was a little disappointed that the show was only an hour and that they didn't play an enchor but I am still a fan. They can hate America but still like Americans. I think System mostly hates the way America is run not the indivdual people that live there. It's silly to say that they played a crappy show b/c they hate America. Every band has their bad days. That was my first time seeing SOAD so it's only fair to judge them after seeing at least one more show. If they act the same I might lose some respect for them, but I doubt this will happen again. I have faith in my music tastes.

You're going to have to be more specific.
I'm ready for a heart-to-heart about limp bizkit with you guys.
What's up guys. I was also at the show and had a great time. I was also shocked to see Daron not move and go all out crazy with the guitar. But then I learned that they were sick and understood why he acted the way he did. I see a lot of people have complained about that but I think we just have to understand that being a "rock star" is not as easy as it looks. They are traveling constantly, probably not getting half as much sleep as we do. And on top of that, a crucial illness. Yes I know it's their job, but we all have our bad and sick days. And like one person said, they are human and humans get sick. This was my first SOAD show and I LOVED it. However, i've downloaded almost every concert video and I know how CRAZY Daron can get and I just wished I could have seen that. But nonetheless, the show was an incredible experience for me and I've never been so pumped up and happy at a show. My only true complains were, well, wheres his damn Ibanez Iceman guitar! =p .. well, besides that, I didn't like how they cut off Toxicity and Bounce. They stopped right at the parts where it was gonna go crazy! lol. That's my two cents.
