how things work around here

i spend a lot of time at the front door of the club. this means that when a patron does something wrong and is brought to the front by the staph, i'm often involved.
if someone does something blatantly against the rules they are immediately ejected, but sometimes we just ask people to modify their behavior and let them stay. in other words, we give them a chance to redeem themselves. to learn from their mistakes. most of the time, these people take this opportunity and behave for the rest of their stay at the club.
sometimes, people brought to the front for a discussion end up getting themselves ejected based on how they handle themselves during these discussions. when this happens, i usually open the door and give the staph a little nod. they then eject the patron.
there's a patron in the lobby right now that has been given more chances than they deserve to play nicely. if this forum had a door, my hand would be on it right now. it will be open very soon.

If my hand was on the door, I would've opened it long ago. He's a blight on our entire community.

possibly, but the vast majority does. for every one "dupek is funny" post, you get 20 "i'm disgusted".
if you were banned, you'd bother coming back? why? wouldn't you prefer finding a forum that is interested in your humor and observations, so you can get constructive feedback? or are you just an anti-social git who values pissing people off and playing cat-n-mouse with moderators? how punk rock.
i agree, pull the trigger before the club is known more for it's racially-infested turd-board than the great shows it puts on and the sense of community it fosters.
and with that, i'm out. have a great weekend folks - yes, you too dupek. enjoy the sun, but wear sunscreen.

Dupek, it was lunchtime when I was reading that thread, and as I took a bite out of my orzo salad, I came across the lovely steaming pic you posted. And having had an already shitty week, I didn't actually NEED to see a piece of shit and it just really pissed me off. I work a ton of hours every week, and sometimes when I just need a (relative) moment of sanity, a good laugh, or a concert/new record to get excited about to keep me going, I pop on here for a couple of minutes. But for what you did today, I feel like you owe me (and the rest of us) an apology. You could really convince us that you're not such a bad guy after all if you simply admit that you crossed the line and will maybe try not to antagonize simply for the sake of pressing people's buttons. So pretty please, with sugar on top…could you fucking apologize already and let's move on to more important things?

My main reaction to the poop was "is that real?" I stared at it for a while trying to decide.

i concur fully with thatguy's post it's something i've been considering posting all week long… the problem is it's beyond apologies at this point so it's either a self imposed exile or accounts get disabled

This forum should be treated like the club; All Ages, All The Time.
In other words try to refrain from posting pictures that don't need to be viewed by minors. It would suck if because of one person we have to disable pictures all together on this board.
Oh and don't try to use the Larry Flynt defense. Even he would agree that ADULTS should be allowed to view what they CHOOSE. No one should be subject to scat pictures when trying to read about a music festival. It's like popping in a tape titled "Disney's Bambi" for your kids only to find it's a porno.

I apologize if I opened the proverbial door for that picture to sneak in under my perhaps unnecessary subject title. I'd hate to think I was an enabler, but not unwilling to accept any blame I have for leaving the dry kindling out there for the pyromaniac.

Though I'll admit I occasionaly find some of Dupek's antics amusing, I do liken much of his attention seeking behavior to that of my 3 year old son as well as that of my dimensia-stricken 72 year old dad.

wait…wait…what did I miss?
Oh never mind, don't want to bring up again whatever it was I missed.
I can just see Josh at the door of cyberspace giving 'the nod' then see said culprit floating off into space like a scene from a scifi b-movie.
