So I just did a tally and figured out that I went to 73 shows this year. (Wow!) How about you?

Slow year:

26 including the ones that I saw at Glasto last summer.

jesus christ! thats alot of shows - I didn't keep a tally but it was probably 20-25 assuming an average of 2 a month

Wow - 73. What venue did you see the majority of the shows? I counted 22 from the scribble in my calendar. I used to get a zillion free pocket calendars from businesses…Maybe 9:30 should make little calendars. :p

Probably in the 70-80 range too. I didn't keep track all that well, but I try to average once a week.

Well I managed to find 26 tickets stubs….. But I guess that is just the start of it. There were, on top of that, about 5 velvet Lounge shows, 2 Mojo shows, 2 iota shows, 2 shows in NY. Plus a handful of shows I went to that I didnt get advance tickets. I figure I managed about 45 shows. The most I have ever seen in a year. It would have been more if the last couple of months hadnt been so quiet.

Still it looks like the new year promises to be Britpop peppered. I cannie wait.

wow…that's a lot of shows

my list was really pedestrian this year….off hand, I think I saw only 9 shows

I'd guess in the 40-45 range. Maybe next year I'll keep track.

i'm up there with kurosawa. all of those random local/house shows or nights at the black cat really add up.

I'm at 50 - 55. I think one of my most active years to date, though I had some good runs in the early 90s. ;)

Hoping 2004 includes some shows with forum folks…I missed 40 shows in 2003 that were in my calendar that I was too pooped to party for, or couldn't rouse anyone to go (though I will go alone, but I have to be in a good mood!).

I missed some shows too; either because of work, and/or too many other shows in the same week. I was wondering what shows others missed that they wished they had gone to in 2003.
