View Hidden Files on a Mac

Anyone know how to do this? I tried looking through all of the Help info, but no luck so far.
when i had this problem, i.e. looking for a file with a dot at the front, i had to download a third party utility which of course i can't remember the name of. try versiontracker or searching, the one i used had the look and feel of the norton commander program….
what kosmo said. i'll try and look when i get home, but i might have deleted it

what are you trying to find? is it for a crack?
Moving songs from my iPod to a Mac's iTune library, rather than reloading each and every album.

are you searching your hard drive for porn?
I am way too proud of my porn collection to hide it away like some lowly system file!
