Down syndrome occurs in approximately one of 750 live births[1] and is associated with a variety of karyotypes. Approximately 92.5% have simple trisomy-21, while in about 4.8% the extra chromosome 21 material is present in the form of an unbalanced Robertsonian translocation or as an isochromosome of the long arm of chromosome 212. A mate of mine is at NIH doing research into all that down syndrome stuff…well he was, I don't know if he's still working on that project.

For some reason I have visions of bombay doors having down syndrome..
