As I like everyting else on your list, you should let me listen to this too.

And Poorlulu, how many times have you seen Adam Green this year?

you will probably just say it is too twangy, it is a side project of the guy in okkervil river
Pure and simple:

MC Honky "I am the Messiah"

Dandys, Out Hud, The Essex Green, Manitoba, Malkmus and especially Earlimart. Oh yes, and Depeche Mode on tape.

Is that not a wonderful album? I love it. (waiting for markie to throw it away now)

but since i am not indie , i will have to say Hail to the Thief or Deloused in the Creamtorium.
I have been listening to Give Up a lot, too.

and you're right – you're NOT indie!! It isn't Crematoruim… it's De-Loused in the Comatourium (remember the album is a concept album about the inner workings of their friend who had attempted suicide's brain…)

This summer I've been kind of listening to some old favorites, and the relatively new things such as Black Eyes and Ted Leo. I really like the Shins, too.

I gotta say, however you spell it, the Mars Volta album's a bust. Sounds way, waaay too proggy for my taste.

Black Eyes, on the other hand, continue to get better with age. I was lucky enough to hear some demos for the new EP, and they sound stupendous…twice as dubby and three times as booty-shakin'.

SNAP!

I forgot to add the new coral album, magic and medicine, has been getting a lot of summertime play in my cave.
