Yawn…in 5 years from now, someone will see that list, roll their eyes and say "God, that's SO 2005". Of course, it sounds like that's exactly what the people putting it together were trying to do.

this looks suspiciously like a "best american albums of 2005" list

I am proud to say that I only own cd's by six of those listed.

The list title is a little misleading - it's more like a list of the top forty active up & comers. But they probably explain that in the notes.

Other that that - I like it. I'll be checking out the mp3s of those I don't know.
