Democratic presidential candidates favorite songs. A pretty sad showing – except for Al Sharpton that is.

You would hope this was a joke after "the office" lambasted des'ree's lyrics.
Former Sen. Carol Moseley Braun – "You Gotta Be," Des'ree.
"Listen as your day unfolds
Challenge what the future holds
Try and keep your head up to the sky
Lovers, they may cause you tears
Go ahead release your fears."

I dunno, these are all good songs, with the possible exception of the Buffet tune…

I don't care if they all told me that their favorite song is a Backstreet Boys, Creed, or Cristina Aguilera song…as long as they beat Bush, Rumsfield and the rest of far right politicians.

So do you want them to say a song by the Swans or The Genitorturers? I think a Gwar song would be great, and maybe getting them to go out on the campaign trail for you too…

Here's what they should be:
John Kerry – Fortunate Son - CCR
John Edwards – Lawyers, Guns and Money - Warren Zevon
Joe Lieberman – Nazi Punks Fuck Off - Dead Kennedys
Al Sharpton – Rape Me (Tawana Brawley Remix) - Nirvana
Dennis Kucinich – Cuyahoga - REM
Dick Gephardt – I Think I'm A Clone Now – Weird Al
Howard Dean – Anything from Phish

I think Hilary should run and have her campaign song as "Suffragette City"

I think the reason why Lieberman, Kerry, Sharpton, and Gephardt don't have a prayer of winning can be summed up by a Fishbone song…
"U-G-L-Y You aint got no alibi"..

I was reading it earlier today. Apparently most of the DC city council endorsed him today.

Yeah I thought it was odd for him to put it on his homepage. DC Government has such a good reputation around the country.

I saw that "imagine" popped up. Yeah, it's easy if you try if you are way whacked out. Even worse for a politician to suggest it. That list did go fine with the A.M. comics though… so it was worth the read.
