Hives roll call

That was a hell of a show, anyone know why they came on so late? I figured it had to do with the line taking a bit.

Im just really bummed I didnt get the shirt that looked like their suits.
"thank you Hives, you sound so goooood"
That was a hell of a show. They're so fuckin' arrogant.

I LOVE that . . . .
yawn
If you didn't have fun at that show then you have no soul. You might as well head down to the court house and change your name to Brian Walalce.
Now there's a band who knows how to rock. Great show. Nice meeting a few more of you folks, too.
The late start did suck. Since 9pm was advertised, I think people were getting unusually antsy. Great show. Great energy. Probably shouldn't have worn sandals into the crushing sea up front. That was one of the most diverse crowds I've seen for a rock band. Lots of first timers to The Cat.
Its so funny that The Cat took so many precautions for a show like this (no glass bottles, extra security guy overlooking the crowd). The hives are loud, but their audience poses no security risk. They should've done that for the Hank III and Assjack/Psyopus show instead.
recipe for a great rock band…

One Rock Steady Drummer
Catchy Tunes
Working hard for the money lead singer
They sounded great, they looked great, just a class act all the way.
yeah it wasn't a bad show. sorry to those who met me last night that I was such a bum…I've had a rough week…

more like mick jagger wannabe
this band sucks
and Iggy, Roger, probably a soul singer or two, even caught a bit of a kung fu kick…
Great fun. The bolo tie phase was a failure, but black suits with an H crest on the breast seems to be dress for success.

The new songs are solid - esp. liked the last song - and that seems to have invigorated the band. Obviously they are fueled on confidence and confidence is best when its real. I think their last effort wasn't great (Although I never really heard it - kind of slept on these guys since VVV) but they're back on track. Seems like they're re-inspired to take garage rock to the future. Even if they re-invent the wheel, they're so likeable its nice to see them succeed.

Howlin' Pelle is Jagger/Iggy mixed with Paul Stanley/David Lee Roth. Always entertaining. As is "Brad Hamilton on speed" (and everyone else for that matter). And the band may be one (or at best two) dimesional, but they've polished that one dimension to the point where they can cut diamonds with it (I know that doesn't make sense) so it continues to work.
They're touring with Maroon 5. Seems like that would be right up his alley.

I think this is the first show in months that hasn't bored you to tears . . . :p
"Yes, it is in fact true. We are actually here live, you can touch me."

Did anyone stay after the show to meet them? As I was walking out someone was saying they were signing autographs in 20 minutes but we had to go back to my friends apartment and catch the train home.
Sadly, I had a ticket for the show but was feeling sick and rather out of it. It sounds like they woulda kicked the malaise outta me. Next time….
I'm sorry I couldn't make this show! I really hope it's not another 3 years before they play DC again….
