Not to highjack this thread, but we went to Au Pied de Cochon last night for dinner and had foie gras poutine. F**king amazing.

And the 30s are definitely the best years. Everything to starts to go south when you hit your 40s. Make this decade count!

did you see the episode of no reservations from quebec? one of the better episodes, culinarily speaking (tony eats alot of poutine, gets overwhelmed at au pied de cochon, and gets to share a seal with a native family in the north).

happy birthday sonick! 30s have been fun, so far.
The 30s have RAWKED (lol) so far. I'm hanging on to them by a thread. I think my 40s will be even better, but in a different way.

Work the 30s like you are 25 with a eye on the consequences… Basically, go for it and know that nothing's as dire as all that!

Happy Birthday!

p.s. I remember Au Pied during my college/drinking in Georgetown/dancing in my early 20s years. Pleased to hear they are still cranking out the tasty snackage.
Happy Birthday! Thanks for doing a dry run of this turning 30 thing, I've got 2 more months to go…

you're welcome, haha.

well, so you know, so far, beer still tastes good, as do crab cakes and i realized that i have been foolish to not have gotten an ipod til now.

30 is going well, so far!
Excellent, good to hear that your senses haven't gone completely numb all at once. As it turns out, I, too, have been holding out on the ipod. Are you saying that with 30 comes the wisdom to quit fighting the inevitable?
