The SF-area radio show (Live 105) looks much better and tix are $30. Not a TBS fan, but the rest of the bill makes up for it.
Friday, December 10th:
Modest Mouse
Franz Ferdinand
Interpol
Muse
The Killers
Taking Back Sunday

i was thinking exactly the same thing and i'm actually trying to figure out if i can afford to fly out for that.
it's just going to be difficult with going to miami for kraftwerk next week and then to NYC for wilco/flaming lips for NYE coming up in the next 6 weeks.

Trim the list down a bit add in Splitsville, The Waxwings, The High Dials, and The Bigger Lovers, and hold it at the Warner Theater, I'd be camping out for tickets….

no i wussed out at the last minute … but the cd is fab! if you like the high dials you should checkout the grip weeds. the drummer channels one keith moon with suberb harmonies and loads of pyschedelic 12 string guitar sounds. they have a new record out which i ought to get off emusic to checkout…

I've never even heard of those dc101 show bands. I'll stay home.
And Kosmo…I'll have to check out the grip weeds. Thanks for the tip!

They don't care in the slightest.
All they will remember is that Lollapalloza was cancelled for poor ticket sales and that this will sell out for sure.

Sadly, you are so right with the worst part of that being that it will probably sell out or very close to it.
