I started crying during the first five minutes of Saving Private Ryan last night – I'm talking when the old vet goes to see the buried soldiers at Normandy, not even the storming of the beach. I knew I couldn't sit through the rest of the film. I can't even imagine serving in the military. We should be thankful, as the soldiers fight wars they have no control over or say in, and they do so bravely.
