I gave up on this season after about the third episode…
So I'm wondering what the general consesus is.. has 24 jumped the shark?

24 is still awesome. They still use the same tricks over and over, so I may get bored soon, but right now I still love it. Only show I watch consistently every week.

i would never miss an episode of 24 but this season hasn't been my favorite. i like it for pure escapism, with jack bauer out there catching and killing those naughty terrorists. this year the main villain is the purely evil president of the US. not as much escapism, y'know?

To be honest, I've been fairly bummed by this season. Beyond a few over-the-top moments (especially the first hour, and those three weeks where they started cleaning house with Edgar & Tony), I've found myself slightly bored.
Still, I doubt I'll ever stop watching it while it's still on the air. It's always solid enough to keep me entertained even if there are a few missteps along the way.

Has anyone seen the Showtime series "Sleeper Cell"? I netflixed it recentley and thought it was entertaining.
Kind of like 24, except the main hero is undercover in a terrorist cell.

In fact my new favorite quote is from this season. "Let's get one thing straight, the only reason you are still conscious is because I don't want to carry you."

Did anyone notice when he was on top of the van at the airport that he really needs an earbud for his phone?
By the end of this series, I really just wanna see him chow down on a Power Bar. Really, when does he eat?

Story-wise, I was more bummed that they killed Libby. Think of the great tension they could've played with, as Michael is thinking of ways to off the one person who knows what he did?
Still, I had really grown to like Ana-Lucia. I cannot wait for that finale.

Off topic, but didn't those two on LOST get killed because they got arrested for DUI's?
Or was that planned before their run in with Hawaii 5-0

I've kind of felt that 24 has had its ups and down this season.
As for Lost, I would've liked to have seen where they would have went with Libby's mental history. That could've been fun.

No, if producers really cared about what kind of trouble the actors were in off-screen, half of Hollywood would be fired.
Look at Robert Downey Jr.
