Cartel Roll Call..

I'm pleased to invite you all to our first gig of the new year this Sunday 1/23 at the Black Cat. This is an all ages show so we look forward to seeing you and all your illegitimate children in
attendance. The cover is $5 and things kick off at 9pm..

Awesome for Cartel! I may make it by, and it will be my first show of 2005. Ooops, second – I'm checking out the Smithereens at the State Theater Saturday. But yours will be my first 2005 Black Cat show!

I'll be there, but I'm leaving those kids at home…and if the weather's bad, I'd suggest everyone make an extra effort to get there. It'll be the bands, the bartenders, and a handful of dedicated rocksters! Based on recent experience, it's the best party going!!

Be sure to say hello!!…I'll be the one with the 4-string instrument who is not milky white.. :p

Don't know if you noticed, but I gave you guys some props in Express today … kind of annoying tracking down your website, i kept finding some other band named cartel from GA ….

First off, I just mentioned them in my club pixx column (next to mark russell, woohoo!) … secondly, Express isn't really in a web-based format … you can see the PDF of the entire issue at www.readexpress.com or you can pick up a copy from the floors of metro cars or those yellow boxes all over the city

As far as Cartel Atlanta..yeah, it's a pain in our asses..we actually have the name trademarked and our EP was out before theirs..but their lawyer is an asshole and the interstate commerce laws are somewhat murky…we are figuring out what course to take since we reckon the law is on our side..

as a stop-gap, you should google-bomb, or do something to get your name higher up in search engine returns … it's tough when you don't have a "unique" name, and even tougher i guess when some other bastards have it too …

i don't know if i'll be able to make it on sunday (conference championships until 930pm or so, very drunk), but i'll check you guys out next time …

They are watching him closely after claims he bought four grams of speed just before entering a fortnight ago.

The goggle-eyed ex-Happy Mondays dancer â?? who has moaned â??I really, really miss me weedâ? â?? was this week offered drug counselling after his moody, erratic behaviour.

I'd luv to…we have rehearsals tonight so we'll see depending on when we finish up…I had a great time the last time I went and was looking forward to this edition since I missed the xmas one for being out of town..
