I didn't believe it for one second….but ironically I heard Bauhaus sing their cover version of it last night on XM and thought to myself…"WHY?" That's like xeroxing the Mona Lisa. I don't mind if people do covers for the most part, but nobody except Bowie should sing that song.

Covers in general are pissing contests, at least in indie rock. I definitely wouldn't want to hear most adult contemporary covered. However, I did hear a great cover of Cher's Do You Believe in Life after Love where the band used a telephone key tones as the music.
