Is there anyway that a search feature could be turned on? It would decrease the amount of repeated threads I think if it were easy to find old threads. Just an idea.

I'll second that.

This forum could use a lot of upgrades. Block/ignore, search. And the smilies are strictly of the naff school.

A search feature would be nice. And changing the color of the posting time to something brighter than purple would make it readable.

Though I haven't spent much time in other boards/forums, I was in one that has a search option, and it is supremely helpful. Instead of posting a couple questions on where to find particular Foo MP3s [ <img src="http://pages.prodigy.net/rogerlori1/emoticons/cool_shades.gif" alt=" - " /> ], I just looked 'em up. It was an amazingly easy and useful tool.

in the spirit of throwing out random questions: why do some people have a "from" line and others do not. i don't seem to have something in my profile to fill in. not a big deal, just curious.

There used to be a location field w/in the user profile awhile back (i.e., older members have it as part of their profile, newbies don't).
