Still have not heard mention of an opening act for the 10th. Anyone hearing anything?

Probably doesn't mean anything but I think the Walkmen are opening for them in NY and Boston.

According to the Pogues website and his own website, it seems that William Elliot Whitmore will open on Friday in DC, anybody heard anything about him?

Where is everyone partying before the Friday show? There was a debate a couple months back on the best Irish Pub in DC…

We're coming in from Michigan and would love to down a few pints before hand!

Don't recall that debate, but from my years in DC, my favorite place was Pollys, like four blocks away from the 9:30, not an Irish Pub but a nice place to have a few beers before a show. Don't know much about Irish Pubs, but I think there were quite a few in Cleveland Park, not very close to the club but next to a metro station.

So with the show coming up, what do people know about the Thursday gig. Doors open at 10, but when will the band come on? No opener on Thursday, just Friday, right? Also, does anybody know who is playing the early show?

you're really better off asking these questions in the FAQ section coz the staph are the only ones who know fer sure

if it helps, at a late show a few weeks ago the first band started at about 10.30
