i've been getting that "it ain't pretty" song by the new inxs stuck in my head a lot lately. it was there for a good while, then disappeared, but i think it's in a commercial now, so it's back. i've even invented alternate lyrics to it.

It's so weird…."How Much Is That Doggy In The Window" has been the most recurrent song to pop in to my head my entire life. I think it comes from childhood piano lessons, but it is a pain in the ASS, I tell ya.

Lately, it's been Kelly Clarkson, "Since U Been Gone." I think that's because she's my text message ringtone.

Wow that is really wierd.

Youth Group's "Someone Else's Dream" a great pop tune on its own..the fact it reminds me of Tim Booth and James makes it better…

annoyingly "Beautiful" by James Blunt.. a friend of mine sometimes sits down legs crossed and starts taking his wallet, watch, etc off to spoof the video…hilarious..

The technical term, I believe, is an earworm. It can also be used as a verb. "That song's been earworming me for the past week!"

The only legitimate case of that I've experienced was "Frere Jacques" when I was a kid. I literally could not stop hearing that song in my head.

Ladytron's "Seventeen" song has been stuck in my head for the good part of the week…

Every time I see that stupid Burger King commercial with the "Big Bucking Chicken" song it gets stuck in my head for a long time… supremely annoying! Not sure why it is just that commercial but I swear one day I am going to shoot my TV because of it!
