I know Kosmo is a huge fan of the new album (and he lives in MD), and Sonick only lives 8 blocks away from the club. That's why I specifically mentioned those two.

I live in the bustling suburb of Arlington. So, Baltimore is no problem normally, but not tomorrow night. I think they might cancel the show…most smaller venues certainly will. I guess it just depends if they think people will actually show up.

I emailed Ottobar, and this is the reply I just got:

It is planned to still happen- of course we cannot predict what tomorrow
will look like though.
Best bet is to check the site first- If there is power, it will be updated.
Then call the club after 7pm. If there are phones someone will answer it and
we can update you.

I would LOVE to go to Pernice Bros, but I'm not driving from D.C. Hell, I don't think I'll even venture to the 9:30 Club, which is only two neighborhoods away….

I thhink the bigger problem with Baltimore will be getting home. Only 30% rain in Bawlmer until 7 pm, but then all hell will break loose for 12+ hours.

Exactly….if the show were at, say, 1:00 p.m., I might give it a shot!

They were my thoughts exactly. Too bad that we can't easily trade apartments for the night.

I was thinking of leaving early for Baltimore and then crashing on my friends sofa in Baltimore after the show (and just calling in, like most people in my office will do anyway), but that would rob me of the car company or my fellow boardies, who already bought their tickets.

I just saw that we should be driving home in 60 MPH winds. Shit. The winds scare me more than the rain.

I too already have a ticket which means more incentive to get my ass to the show.

Wouldn't mind so much if there was a nice all night hurricane party at the club so that we could all ride out the storm. Damn ABC board forcing us out during the worst of it.

Considering the show won't start until…9:00 or so (?), it very well may be cancelled. This is what is driving me crazy, how can I plan around "maybes". Aaarrrgggghhh.

As one of the safety people for my office, I keep getting emails like this:

Due to the uncertain weather conditions resulting from Hurricane Isabel for Thursday and Friday, employees are encouraged to keep track of updates for the DC area.

I fail to see how these weather conditions are uncertain, and I fail to see how this info is of any help…

Bags, you weren't around this board in February when we had the BIG snowstorm that closed parts of the East Coast down. In fact, it was illegal in Maryland to drive except in emergencies. The show still went on!

Oh, and it's supposed to hit us during where some of us will be having high tide. Makes a difference.

actually i'm planning on going to brmc/warlocks show… i also really like the warlocks new album and have been meaning to catch brmc. the pernice bros will have to wait until a later date. unless of course the brmc show gets cancelled and the other doesn't ;)

I saw Pernice Brothers in Charlottesville tonight and they rocked. Hope you guys get to see them in Baltimore on Thursday.

They played the most awesome cover as an encore, maybe they do that all the time and I just don't know because I've never seen them live before. The whole set was great.

Anyway, hope the hurricane doesn't affect the show. Enjoy!
