this show deserves its own roll call
Lucero / Bobby Bare, Jr. Roll Call
You don't think it will sell out, do you? I didn't think I could go, but my plans changed and I'm free now and considering it. The previous Lucero show at the Black Cat was very good.
Give my love to Bobby…
In spite of the fact that every time he'd play Iota and my wife would call his cell and ask him if he wanted to join us for ice cream, and he never returned our calls.
How could anyone refuse free ice cream?

taxi strike might also keep some people on the fence from coming out
In addition to the Halloween thing, Lucero was just here recently, so, I wouldn't expect it to sell out.
I'll be the guy dressed as Hoya's stalker.

I guess a Jekyll and Hyde set from Lucero was appropriate given the holiday. I thought the first two-thirds of their set was "meh." Not bad, per se, but definitely uninspired, paint-by-numbers, and far below the bar they set in the spring. The last third smoked, though. I was singing along to Tears Don't Matter Much and the War; and I'm totally not a singer-along
agree 100%

I think last night was the first area Lucero show I've missed in three years. Crazy how often they tour and come to DC/MD/VA.
