Colts vs. Patriots

WHO YA GOT? It's probably one of the biggest regular season games ever.

I think the Patriots are WAY too smug and Belichick, Brady, et al all need to be knocked down a few pegs.

Colts 38
Patriots 35 in OT on a 53-yard Vinateri FG

Is that this week?

Sounds right. These "games of the century" almost never come close to justifying the hype.
I wonder how many chicks Tom Brady gonna knock up and desert this week.

do they need to be? maybe. will they? nope.

pats by 17.

it's good to be a new england sports fan these days… i'm partying like it's 2004 :)
I guess the one way back in 1990 would have been bigger if the Giants and 49ers hadn't screwed things up by losing the week before. Then it would have been two 11-0 team that had won three of the last four Super Bowls meeting. As it is now, you have an 8-0 (who have won three of the last six Super Bowls) playing last year's champion (7-0.)

Plus, factor in the comeback last year's AFC Championship game, Spygate, Randy Moss, etc. I just hope it lives up to the hype.

This is a good summation of the quarterback matchup in less than five minutes:

Thank you Mr. USA Today.
It's hard to say anything against the Pats winning this one.

I think it'll be a hell of a game.

I only wonder how hot the chicks are going to be…and pray they have girls.
i love how everyone in the world seems to like the pats to kill the reigning super bowl champs on the road. i'd take indy, but honestly i'm sick of this game already. if the steelers were on sunday i might not even watch it

the kid wasnt even born in 1990
I think this is a game you just don't bet on. It makes just as little sense to bet against the Patriots to cover a spread as it does to not take the Colts and 5 points at home.

I'm just going to sit back and enjoy what I hope to be a great game and laugh at the rest of the folks in the Bay Area who have to watch the Raider game. Can you believe Raider fans are rooting against a sell out?
if you must bet, i'd probably just bet the over.

Margin of victory of Patriots road games this year: 24, 21, 21, 21.

They are like Sherman marching through the South. I would take the Pats and give the 5 all day long. Any takers? Hurwitz…..?

Vs. Jets (1-7)
Vs. Bengals (2-5)
Vs. Cowboys (6-1)
Vs. Dolphins (0-8)

Only the Cowboys were worthy opponents, and I don't think they could beat Indy.
how many wins do those teams have? take out dallas and the answer is 3. granted the dallas win is quite impressive, assigning historical significance at week 8 is foolish. just ask the 2005 colts, or the 15-1 2004 steelers, the randall cunningham vikes…

smackie beat me dammit
