Bearman....

Has anyone else seen any of the episodes of the 7 Ages of Rock on VH-1? They are all pretty well done, but I thought it was pretty cool that they focused on British Indie Rock, which I REALLY enjoyed. I like how they highlighted the Smiths and the Stone Roses, not just Oasis. I'm a little shocked that they totally ignored New Order though. The interviews with Johnny Marr, Andy Rourke and Mike Joyce were extremely cool, same with Mani from the Roses. Very, very interesting footage too. It was fun to watch the juxtaposition of Paul Young playing Love of the Common People and then the Smiths played This Charming Man on Top of the Pops.

The Mighty Lemon Drops - "Inside Out"
One of the best songs ever. Otherwise these bands were not my 'genre' [somehow I kind of missed 1990 - 1995, I was listening to my old stuff from the late 80s and wasn't buying albums…]
Oh wow…Bags, I SO need to hook you up with an intro to Catherine Wheel, the Stone Roses, Inspiral Carpets and Ned's Atomic Dustbin. Of course, my summer of 1991 LP is this, and it's a fantastic record:
