Hypothetical question

I seriously doubt it's Dupek, his musical tastes where fairly specific an don't think he went off listening to Fallout Boy with the intent to stir up trouble here.
Just for the sake of discussion: isn't the point of an alterego to have different "interests" and "traits" then the real persona? Why would we expect a Dupek alter ego to be a carbon copy of Dupek?
Certain info is logged with each post and I believe that Brian is no Dupek, based on it.

I know on some boards mods features you can sort posters by logged IP addresses. Can you do that here?

I know Dupek, Dupek was a friend of mine. And Brian Wallace is no Dupek!!!
Nope… Only searching by IP address is an option
Are you also aware that there are several websites you can put his IP addy into which will give you a breakdown of his ISP and a general geographical location?

We've been down this path before on the board and as our self-appointed attorney, I'd advise us to not go down the path again.

In my years of administrating a board with far more assholes and banned members then 930.com, this was standard practice to sniff out repeat offenders, and even the most insane rich brats never took any legal recourse. What privacy law is broken by automated returns of metadata from ISPs?

The mods currently do a good job of blocking IP's and weeding out the multiple alias' when problems arise. I was speaking of an issue of outing someone publicly on the board that doesn't need to be repeated.

Nope. And yes, it was before your time.

I also don't recall whatever he's alluding to.
No fair talking about something that was before my time in vague terms on my thread. :(
Really guys, it was nothing. Your mods know what they're doing. That's all I was getting at…
