I agree a bit; I loved the entire show, and thought in a lot of ways it was better than last year's finale. Still, the very very ending didn't leave me with a feeling like staring down the hatch did…

Don't want to give away any spoilers as I'm sure a lot of folks probably taped or tivo'd it, but "eh".

I'd think no; it would be weird to show his backstory and then off him right away. Of course, after Libby and Ana Lucia, who knows?

And we all know that that Kelvin guy was the same US military guy that Sayid dealt with in Iraq, right?

HUH? You see, I'm a bad Lost viewer. I make the obvious connections, but miss so much… Back at the beginning of the season I watched one episode at a friend's house and they were talking about Hurley's lottery numbers being the numbers mumbled over and over by another patient. I SO hadn't noticed that!!

With showing events happening off of the island that weren't just flashbacks, they've done a good bit to try and dispel the purgatory and alien abduction theories. But there are WAAAAAAAYYYYY too many backstory overlaps and coincidences to have a non-supernatural explanation.
EDIT: Well, at least an explanation that isn't terrible…

i'm with you… up until last night i wasn't tuned into the websites that track all the activities on lost and quickly found out how many connections etc there are. they need to do a pop-up version of the series at some point…

I hear you….God knows, all those 'coincidences' and overlapping lives is why I hated "Crash"

I stay away from spoilers like the plague, but I do occassionally check the connections. I dont' think I've ever missed an episode, but there are ones that I missed on first viewing. God bless DVDs.

I love LOST, but I was watching AI at the same time and so I missed some stuff, like when Libby and Desmond were talking. So now I'm "lost" with the Libby backstory, although it seems like she was everywhere. I'm just glad that they found out that Michael killed AL and Libby, but they sure forgave him pretty quickly. As for showing 7 episodes at once, great, then we'll have a much needed break and then wind up the season with 7 more. I too hated the reruns and missing the new ones, even though I'm in the fan club, sometimes I would miss the dates that the new ones were airing.

I am pretty sure that it has been confirmed that Desmond will be a regular character next season…
I was a bit disappointed last night that the scene where Jack was shown firing his gun at something in the previews last week, turned out to be him just shooting into the woods.
Other than that, I thought it was a pretty good finale. There was no way they would tie up everything neatly. They have 3-4 more seasons to go. They left me wondering, where is home for the hostiles? Where will Mike and Walt end up if they follow the part Faux Henry told them to take? Why did they just let Walt go? What does Whidmore Construction/Pregnancy Tests have to do with the island?

i thought the coolest part was when they found all of the notebooks in the tubes….really gave a mysterious "what is real and what isnt" feel to the whole show.
i dont think there will be some supernatural explanation of the whole thing. at least, i hope not. I am not a fan of the "supernatural" i want to be confused all the way til the end and be like "ohhhh, shit, THATS what happened!!!" and have it have been right there all along.

or the fact the the whole island is like a snow globe…like the truman (sp) show.

doesnt really matter what we think casue those damn pot head writers will just write in or write off a character and make up whatever they want, thats why they had the C Dickens novel, casue he wrote from chapter to chapter…

You should've hated Crash because it was a terrible film.
That said, I liked the season finale. I thought that they left us for alot to think about over the summer.
Desmond isn't dead. He's how we'll learn the rest of the Libby backstory next season.
