You all know of Alcian Blue, who are worth it on their own, but for those who don't know of The Situation, they are another very cool Shoegaze band from Philadelphia on Elephant Stone Records.

This gig is a CD release party for Alcian Blue's new upcoming CD to be released on July 11th on Elephant Stone Records. (I suspect that they will have early copies available but don't hold me to it.)

With that said, I don't even know if I myself can make it down; however, I do plan on trying my damnedest.

Tonight at the Black Cat backstage are the Assrockers, who are fun. And rock. They rock ass.

i'd be there if i didn't have to manage a show at the warehouse.

there are few locals bands i like less than the assrockers.

i like alcian blue, and i'd go if scott herren wasn't playing for $8 more down the street … i feel like i can see alcian blue on a pretty regular basis around town, prefuse doesn't come around that often

most likely there…haven't seen alcian blue since they blew out the power at the hut. plus, i just listened to few very good tunes from the Situation. one sounded just like vintage Happy Mondays…nice.
