not a huge fan of live recordings but would count Neil Young - Live Rust among my favorites

theres an Afghan Whigs Live EP thats very good as well
dylan's bootleg series volume 4 ("royal albert hall") and volume 5 (rolling thunder tour) are out of this world good.

that spiritualized live album is probably the best thing they released. "live rust" is an obvious favorite. "precise modern lovers order" isn't a classic but is very fun. "live seeds" is pretty solid.

how long until the first "throwing copper" joke?

I would agree except for the year at my first job that "Layla" from that was incessently played on all the pop stations that everyone's radios were tuned to.

Portishead- Live at Roseland

Bob Dylan- the bootleg series albums of him playing w/ the Rolling Thunder Revue and of him playing w/ the Band on the second disc (can't remember their numbers)
Aaargh, I forgot the best of all, Stop Making Sense by Talking Heads.

i think that's the one my friend taped. . .
mr. Lif - Live at the Middle East
Bouncing Souls - Tie One On
Goldfinger - Foot In Mouth
Johnny Cash - San Quentin 1969-Live
Queens Of The Stone Age - Over The Years And Through The Woods
White Stripes - Peel Sessions I & II

Captures the intensity and emotion that makes Jack White the guitar hero of this generation. Explosive from start to finish. If Pete Townshend heard it, he'd say the Stripes are underrated.
surprised no one has mentioned it.

Stop Making Sense - Talking Heads
