Anybody have any good recommendations for finding the lists of parties that are going on during the day?

And who all is going? SxSw roll call?

Thanks for this recommendation, grotty. I've now listened to all the songs on their web site and like them a lot. Hopefully they'll come to the East Coast soon (since I won't be at SXSW).

Yes, Tapes 'N Tapes are the newest blog "it" band. I like their stuff. And, coincidentally, they just played with the band below last night.

If you're going you should check out another band with a terrible name, Birdmonster. If you want to hear them, their MySpace page has a few songs (unmastered) from their upcoming first album, and one song from their EP, which hasn't left my playlist in weeks.
