But as for ethics medical science likes to push at the boundries of ethics….. Dissections were unethical, Heart transplants at first caused a furore…. Which looking back seems almost unbelievable.

Cloning on the other hand (for humans) maybe be seen as repugnant and morally inacceptable, as well as narcisistic.


Right now though it is too dangerous as clones may prematurely age, due to what happens at the end of chromosomes… the bits of DNA. Telomeres, the DNA ends, shorten as you get older….. Will clones have shortened telomeres age prematurely? There have not been enough mamalian clones generated that have gone into old age to approach answering that question.

those damn raelians are crazy. they claim to have cloned someone, but i doubt that. it's pretty weird to think that if cloning with humans is successful at one point, fertilization can be rendered unnecessary…which means men will have exactly 0 uses in this world. :D well, unless they're just really cute to look at.
