I guess the title covers my thoughts. Why doesn't she take a breath and pause between sentences?

I only hear that particular recording on the Green Line. To me, it sounds like in post production the normal pause between "doors" and "closing" was removed.

It is more annoying than the previous announcements. It feels like I'm being lectured by an Elementary School teacher.

It's more refreshingly nuanced than the 'Charlie Brown's teacher' loudspeaker style that's used everywhere else.
