My experience as the de facto leader of HFStival.com allows me particular insight into this situation.

(1) Unless I am gravely mistaken, J-Money is an African-American girl, now in her early-to-mid 20's, who spent the better part of 10,000 posts on HFStival.com posting god-damn Taking Back Sunday lyrics back and forth with this other girl named Sarah. She was generally regarded one of the stupidest members in the history of a very, very stupid message board, and the fact the Washington Post is citing them as an authority is pretty LOL-worthy.

(2) Whenever a messageboard or news outlet steals a "story" from your messageboard, the proper response IS ALWAYS flooding them into oblivion. As such, I expect there to be some really nasty things posted in the comments section of the WPost's "story" when I get back. If you all need assistance coordinating such an attack, my PM box is always empty.

Well, you have a point there, good sir, however they were real snots about it, so flood them anyway. On HFStival.com we learned every problem could be solved by flooding another messageboard, hacking someone's email, or deleting someone's account.

Seems to me that Mr.s J. Freedom du Lac and/or David Malitz have been lurking around this forum for years. Seasoned forumites will understand. You've been outed boys! What are your screen names? Better yet, your member numbers?

Have a feeling that they are just a bit miffed that the 9:30 forum scooped them on the VFest. That's all. Music critics are always snobs. Goes with the territory. Just chalk it up to left handed promotions; as in, bad talk is better than no talk at all. Really, it didn't sound all that bad to me. Maybe it was just the tone that I read the piece in. Go with it. No attacks needed.

Yes, this community has done so well at subtly modifying the behavior of the Dupek's and Brian Wallace's that pop up from time to time. Truly, we're all better off for the seasoned, moderate approach we've taken towards such folks.
