Did any of you see the Melvins and Tomahawk? if so, how were they?

I've never seen the Old 97s or Rhett Miller live (yet), but from the albums, I'd say definitely worth it. And that's from someone who's not a full-on alt.country head. (or whatever you want to call that genre…)

yes - I saw them open for Wilco a few years ago and was very impressed - I think Satellite Rides is a great album

If you have as good taste in music as directors and writers, I suspect taking a chance on the old 97s is a very reasonable idea.

Saw the Old 97s live once and saw them on HBO doing a live set. Both were great.
