So I can't be the only one salivating at the prospect of seeing Elbow live? Who's going? And whats the story with 6th and I? Seated? GA? Worth getting there early? Can you drink?
Elbow Roll Call
sadly i'll be making neither the DC nor the NYC date, despite having tickets to the latter… grumble. if anyone wants my NYC tickets, they're yours. PM ASAP.
i believe that 6th and I is both seated and GA - so arrive early & grab a good bench. there is also a balcony in case you want a bird's-eye view.

truer words were never said - I've had em on heavy rotation all week and 95% of their catalog is just breathtaking

Anyone think the singer outweighs Greg Dulli?
Originally posted by brennser:GA, and seated - first come first serve for the seats. No alcohol in the venue though - however, you're around the corner from Fado/RFD/everything else in that corridor.

I will be there. It's about time they finally make it back to DC. The first two shows they played at 9:30 were incredible (even when Guy was ill for that 1st gig.)
The 6th and I box office told me that the whole show was GA, but maybe the person I spoke to was mistaken. Doors at 8, show at 8:30.

Wow. That was fantastic.

Hopefully they keep their promise and come back in the autumn.
This was just an incredible, breathtaking show.
damnit - and I had two tickets go to waste… oh well ce'la vie
in case this comes in handy at some point in the future, it's spelled c'est la vie.
And excellent review of the show in Wednesday's Washington Post Style section. After also seeing The Eels there about a month ago, another excellent show (though not as good as the Eels/Smoosh show at the 9:30 a couple of years ago–the best show I've ever seen, no kidding), I agree with the poster who says every show should be at Sixth and I (or the 9:30 Club!–they're forcing me to say that).
