I was up at 5am with taking our new puppy out for a crap. Of course the main news story on the local stations was about the stores opening and black Friday etc. (even though there's a passenger liner sinking which I would've thought was bigger news) but I digress….Someone saved $30 on a printer by getting up in the middle of the night. THIRTY FUCKING BUCKAROOS!!!! I thought these people were saving several hundred smackers on plasma screens etc.

Jesus H christ people, what suckers!!!

It's amazing how stupid people can be when they get into herd mentality. One only has to look back at the people who paid $600+ for iPhones, and even lined up for the privilege of overpaying, even though everyone also knew that the price would drop quickly.

Then there are the parents every year who make the news by fighting in store aisles for the last of the latest craze toy for their spoiled-brat kids.

I got a Viao laptop for $399 from Bestbuy. The whole thing was handled terribly, and I'll probably end up writing to the company w/ suggestions for future black friday sales.

I bought a navigation system from office depot a few days ago, 150 bucks and it includes free traffic info. It is a good deal to me. Navigon 2100 for those of us that get lost every time we go outside,

I bought myself an MBV ticket for the 2nd night of Manchester and didn't have to go anywhere or get up early to do it.

My last laptop was a Vaio. Did you get the extended warranty? I got more use out of the warranty than the laptop.

Seinfeld Season 8 and South Park Season 10, $15 each at Target. Awesome deal. Batman Begins for $4 (I thought about picking up The Goonies, too, but decided against it). And that was at around 8pm Friday night, so no, I didn't participate in the insanity.

wait, didn't those go on sale at 4 AM here?

The first round did last week and they went in less than 10 minutes.


There are what appears to be a bunch of them left for the Manchester date that was added later on ticketmaster. Ticketmaster was never advertised as having them (seetickets.com was the advertised outlet) so they're just sitting there.
At least they were as of friday.

I bought a record by a "Jill Jones" that I had not heard about til today.. apparently she was one of Prince's girlfriends and recorded an album full of Prince songs all played and produced by Prince… recorded 1985-87..came out in 87 or so… obviously peak Prince era stuff.. anyways i bet if I waited I could find it in a dollar bin.. probably ran across it many times and left it cause I did not know it was a Prince record..

so today I said fug it I need to hear it pronto and bought a promo LP copy and it should arrive in a week..I love the internet.
