wasn't their show this summer at Merriweather supposed to be their "only east coast show of the year"? if so, no 930 date this december. because advertizers never ever lie to sell tickets, right?

They played Atlanta which I guess is kinda east-coast.

Regardless, I doubt there'll be any 9:30 Club shows in December but I'm looking forward to seeing them in 2008.

well… they're kind of known for announcing these shows last minute, at least they have the last few years.

anyway, here's hoping that they do!

There had been talk/rumours/confirmation of the past shows, though before the announcement. I don't think anyone has heard anything alluding to the band playing the club/DC any time soon.

But, I agree: definitely hope they play soon, they're always amazing live.
