Probably thinking of a Gaussian distribution. Shifting the bell curve to less time to acheive the goal, will move more women to completion before the time boredom or wristache sets in.
Not to mention you can sort the missus out during halftime, or between periods of the hockey game!

see, this is why NASCAR is so great…since all they do is drive around and around anyway, you can fool around whilst you sort of watch the race and not miss much…and if there's a crash or something good, you just take a break and pick up where you left off…
