Lollapalooza reviews & comments

just curious - but what made everyone (that saw the show obviously) hate im from barcelona, and i guess polyphonic spree too? as i think some of you said you hated both the shows.

and if you didnt see them, and are basing it on a blog reviewer, dont bother wasting your time to tell me what said blogger wrote.
I shouldn't have gone in the first place. I knew I didn't like them. But made a concession for a friend. There are 2 kinds of music that make me understand why parents don't like rock n roll:
too cute & jam bands. This was a combination of the 2 for me.

It hurt for me to even listen to Barcelona. I agree with everything that blog above said. It reminded me of Sesame Street. I was amused the first time I saw Flaming Lips do it. But I can barely even listen to them now.

That said - I'm not knocking anyone for liking it. My fellow attendees LOVED it. I'm sure there are many things that I liked that you would have hated (none of my friends there could stand the Black Angels.)

It's interesting tho that we agree on almost every other highlight that we both saw.

!!! was AMAZING. I was going a little nuts right in front of the snd board.
thanks! totally makes sense, but yes i avoided the bands i knew i didnt like :)

glad you enjoyed !!!. was looking at my pics from the show, and was still amazed how close i was. might need to see them in nyc, just not sure id leave with the same feeling as from a festival.

send me a pm to show where you guys are in that !!! pic above. I must have been real close. i've tried to meet up with kurosawa @ a couple fests - never connected.

i'm surprised you can't see me jumping around in that photo - must have been on the way down!

Anyone else think that Mike McCready *IS* hard to watch when he's jumping? It's soooo forced.
Thought for some of you that went this might be relevant - esp if you ended up with some weird rash. People started to notice it around the 1st of August, so I'd imagine with trees, grass and all other areas, some people could have ended up with a rash.

They've been blamed for itchy splotches from western Kane County to Michigan vacation grounds. They've attacked in Willow Springs, Chicago Heights and La Grange.

Nobody knows exactly what's causing the rash of rashes, but authorities think they've got a good idea of what they're dealing with, anywayâ??and they warn that it's likely something small, invasive and really annoying.

Biting mites.

too funny! i left with an itch for that and a mysterious rash. this is NOT fun.
eww - sorry to hear that. the gf and i got off lucky, then, since neither of us has developped a rash. rest assured: you're special (or extra tasty).

maybe it's not mites, it's your body reacting to the I'm from Barcelona set you sat through :p
That's weird. The last time I saw her, both of us wound up with a nasty rash.
