Yep, that's the one. Did you ever try Hunan Kitchen on Little River? It's easily the best Chinese food I've ever had. Of course, they also don't deliver to my new apartment. I've actually been reduced to ordering pick-up!
Where do you live? I'm definitely looking for good Chinese where I'm at now, and so far, I haven't found any.

Bistro Italiano on Capitol Hill near Union Station. Their tomato sauce is out of this world. Plus they deliver!

Is this the place over by Tower Records?

i think italy might disagree with you on what is "real pizza." :)
that being said, i like chicago style much more than flimsy new york style.

Happy to see other put Alberto's. Everytime I mention it to friends, seems no one has heard of it.
Al's Pizzeria on Capitol Hill is pretty good as well.

I'm in Del Ray… the best place for Chinese delivery I've found is Golden Dragon in the Bradlee Center. Good Chinese and sushi, plus excellent scallion pancakes, which you don't see that often.

That's where I live. I tried Golden Dragon (near the Blockbuster, right?) I wasn't that impressed; although I've only been once. I was definitely spoiled by Hunan Kitchen, and it's still worth fighting traffic on Duke Street for their Kung Pao Triple.

I really have started to like Duccini's Pizza at 18th and U St.
Ledo's is different and I really like it. They use a lot of bacon grease though in their dough which I find yummy. I grew up on that when I was way younger and the only location was College Park. Could and still can get half cooked pizzas to take home to finish heating.

i just moved to columbia heights and had a pizza delivered from duccini's the other night…it was terrible tho. maybe i should give it another shot. at least i had a coupon for 99 cent pints of Ben & Jerry's with my order.
btw, i'm having a hard time finding decent delivery in my neighborhood. i'm actually located at three spires (16th & columbia) which is central to u street, mt pleasant, columbia heights and adams morgan. there are tons of restaurants around but no idea who delivers…any ideas? (yum's does not count!)

also love Pizzeria Paradiso…there is one in Georgetown, and one somewhere else near GW that i went to once and don't remember where it was.

you should check if Mr. Chen's Organic delivers that far, there is basically no good Chinese food is Portland, people seem to like PF Changs and Panda Express, I miss Mr. Chens
http://mrchens.com/ I believe Ducinis is basically a ripoff of Pizza Bolis, but I never tried it
Pizzeria Paradiso is terribly overrated in my opinion, I used to work in the directly above the dupont Paradiso, never understood how it was so popular
My favorite new york style pizza was from The Bagelry in georgetown

HELLO!
How can this thread have gone on so long without any mention of pizza from Chicago? Which truly is the best pizza other than Neapolitan pizza…
Not only do they claim the origin of the deep dish, which is good, of course, but they have the thin crust that is cut into square slices not triangles. Before I moved to the DC area, I had never seen regular thin crust pizza cut into triangles.
All that being said, the Uno chains are somewhat disappointing. Around here, I like Paradiso and Matchbox best.
