aarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrggggghhh

Primus and George Clinton are on the same night? SHit! which one should i go to?
Primus. Otherwise you're supporting Clinton's crack habit, in a roundabout way.
Though Clinton is extremely beloved by many, I heard by some big fans that he pretty much phoned it in last time he was at the 9:30 Club – this from folks who've seen him about 10 times. Plus, he comes through the 9:30 club about twice a year. You'll have another chance to catch him (unless fate intervenes!).
I'd say George Clinton, if you have to choose. Agreed that seeing Primus again would be sweet, but not at DAR. And a friend of mine saw them up in Boston, and said that while some of the show is great, Claypool's recent initiation into jam-band land have lead to loooooooooong stretches of noodling and tapping. I don't know about you, but I'd prefer Primus to just rock.

I feel your pain, i was pissed when i saw it was the same night. But since i've already got my Primus tickets and they are one of my top three favoritist bands of all time, i cant pass them up. Besides like it was said before, George Clinton passes thru here at least twice a year so in six months he'll be back, usually November. He did cut it short last time out, didnt even play Atomic Dog or One Nation Under a Groove. But it was still a great show.
What pisses me off most is that i had to give up P-funk last time they came to town to see radiohead. :(
