The Shins presale tickets on sale now!
that is steep, but im getting tickets for someones birthday present.
are they really big enough to fill merriweather? in the words of kosmo, "indie is not the new mainstream"…
I'd rather make the trek to see them at the Norva on a Saturday night rather than go to Merriweather on a Monday.
When I first heard about this I thought that there might be some festival that hadn't been annonced, but according to duckat king its looks like their headlining.

weatherunderground.com has a new trip planning feature… here's what it says about Oct 20th to 25th for Baltimore It could be a bit nippy, but people don't dance at shows anyways so breakout the scarves and parkas.

Ugh. The Merriweather show will not work for me, so it's NorVa or Raleigh or nothing. Raleigh is out because it's the same day as SP in Philly. So, I have to decide between the NorVa show or Stars @ 9:30 Club. Also, if I pick Shins, I have to drive 6 hours from Philly to Norfolk. Ugh.
jules, have you seen the shins live? they're only so-so. being the darlings of the indie scene, i'd expect them to be around for a while. i can't remember the last time stars were on tour. my suggestion is that you skip the shins this time.

Stars are only so-so live. At least the times I saw them open for Broken Social Scene and New Pornos that was the case.
