Seeing Prince back in 96 at the Capital Ballroom was without a doubt one of my top 5 concerts I've ever been too!

The line wrapped all the way around the building and now parking lot at Nation to get in. Prince played for 3 1/2 hours! 1/2 hour set included Doug E. Fresh with Prince & Co. as backing band! With Larry Graham on bass they jammed out three Sly and the Family Stone tunes as well. For a four hour show total and with the old setup of the club it was truly awesome!

Prince is just an all around genius of a musician…he's as much of a badass on piano as he is on the guitar! :)

Mindless Faith
Deep6 Productions
1. Jimi (not even fucking close…puh-lease!)
2. Curt Kirkwood (Meat Puppets)
3. Neil Young
4. Arto Lindsay
5. Andy Gill

honorable mentions to Kevin Shields, Richard Lloyd, Gilbert/Newman (Wire) and Lou Reed
I don't feel like playing this list game but I do want to include …

Phil Manzenera (Roxy Music / 801)

Oh yeah, and Dupek, wasn't John Goodsall one of those often session players or with Godley and Cream or Soft Machine or Matching Mole or Brand X? I can't remember and don't feel like researching now. I definitely know his name from some earlier works. Might have worked with Brian Eno or King Crimson.
Jag: Yes, yes & YES!

I should add a coda to the list: Besides no legends, No stiffs either.

Anyone who said Hendrix/Gatton/Bronson/Chunders go to the end of the line.
For Rock…

Greg Ginn
Jeff Buckley
Lou Reed
Thurston Moore/Lee Ranaldo
Joe Strummer

ALso Phil did guitar work on Eno's solo "pop" albums.

Is he dead? overdose from heroin?
I would choose classical guitarists:
Julian Bream
Andres Segovia
Kazuhito Yamashita
Manuel Barrueco
Jozsef Eotvos
Try Eotvos playing Goldberg Variation 1

He fell out of favor after he spit in that umpire's face.
