They should have put the New York Dolls between Sum 41 and Good Charlotte.

yeah, GC should be after LOUIS XIV …no idea why they are getting "higher" billing.
sum41 aren't on the mainstage, they are headlining the street stage

With the exception of the 6-8:25 block, it's really pretty good, in my opinion. Maybe the Pietasters will be headlining the local stage during that period.

I for one think the 2pm through 6:35pm block is awesome. Social D and Echo are 2 of my favorites, and I love the NY Dolls. I'll be one of those people fleeing for the gates when Good Charlotte goes on.

6:50 – 9:30 I could do without…I'm almost glad I'm not going, as I'd have to stick around to the bitter end to see all of Foo Fighters. This 'll be the first time I've missed them in DC in AGES. ;(
And I actually think all of this could be great…

From what I gather, these set times are not confirmed yet.Do they usually wait this late to officially announce?

This is NOT late. Usually you have to wait until the morning of the show and grab a schedule, if you can find one, on your way in to the festival. At least it was that way the several times I went a few years ago (haven't been for all those nu HFS lineups over the last several years…).

Pathetic! What possible reasoning could there be for this?I'm with you Bags ,haven't been to one since Iggy & N.A.D played, whatever year that was.The lineup in the middle of this one is too good to pass up.I'll be headin for the hills as soon as Social D is over.Would've liked to seen Foo Fighters but there's no way I can sit thru what comes between Social D and them.

coachella announces thier times 2 days prior to the festival.
i suppose it just works easier than correcting things if they change

I don't know really what to think. I really won't miss any bands I care to see, but I was really looking forward to a few good bands on the b-stage. In the past we've seen Ash, the vines, Modest Mouse, Yeah Yeah Yeahs… nothing in that league this year. Getting close to that main stage is not even close to worth it. So I'll be sitting back in seat probably in the upper deck while stuffing my face with fries and soda most of the day.

This just goes to show how out of the mainstream I have become. When I saw the lineup, I bought tickets presale, so I wouldn't be left behind when it sold out very quickly. My thinking was: Coldplay headlined Coachella; Interpol/Garbage sell out quickly at clubs; Foo fighters is not too common; Social D/NY dolls for the punkers; and then you have the big draw potential in Idol/Good Charlotte. If ticket sales are slow, which I'm not denying…. where's the advertising? Pitchfork is all over smaller festivals (not that they are your PR arm), but not a mention here. I haven't heard anything except listening to 105.7. I don't know… I hope you're wrong, but I have my fears.

even if they really only sold 20,000 tickets (i thought i heard they had sold close to 50,000)…that is still a good number of tickets.

- I have sympathy on the setlist issue. I can only imagine what it's like to organize an event like this, and they probably are better off just waiting rather than making changes. If folks count on a schedule and then it changes, they tend to freak.
- I am stupefied that this, the one decent HFStival lineup in a few years, is selling poorly. As myuman said, I am SO out of it. Probably for the good, means I generally get to see 'my bands' at smaller venues. Oy.
[FYI, I'm not insinuating that the past few HFStivals have sucked entirely. There have been many good bands, but I found the lineups to be more shitty than good…]
