Okay, who's going to this Buzzcocks/Carlsonics show?
Markie, if you're in concert apathy, why not this show? It's a Friday, so shake your rump-a.

I want to go but think the fucking weather is going to ruin things for me. Too far to drive and I still have a rental. If the weather holds out, I might try to make it unless I'm burned out that night.

Hey I think I'll be there (not that anyone knows me). I'll be meeting up with some guys from my band there after I get off work. Gah do I hate work. I'll be having green hair and hanging in the Food Food corner trying to find them.

We will be at the Yayhoos…
Yayhoos feature Dan Baird of the Georgia Satellites, and Roscoe Ambel from Steve Earle and the Dukes, and former member of the Del Lords and Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, as well as alt-country producer extraordinnaire (Ryan Adams, Bottle Rockets, Blue Mountain, Marshall Crenshaw, Freedy Johnston).
Do the Buzzcocks still put out good music or is this another 9:30 Club nostalgia offering?

I'll be at the show. Should be fun to see the Buzzcocks and the Carlsonics are great live.
I'm suddenly off the email list again, though. Could someone send me the 2 for 1 message?

The last Buzzcocks record kills. Definitely sounds like lost Buzzcocks classics, but a fuller sound. Fuck nostalgia…I'd rather listen to great music from 25 years ago than the crap called punk being released today. The Buzzcocks are alive and breathing, and their show last Friday in Chicago was absolutely superb. The setlist (mostly in order…might be one or two missing) was:
Boredom
Fast Cars
Love You More
I Don't Mind
Oh Shit
Get On Our Own
Jerk
Mad Mad Judy
Love Battery
Sitting Round At Home
Driving You Insane
Breakdown
Something's Gone Wrong Again
Wake Up Call
Friends
Totally From the Heart
Noise Annoys
Lester Sands
I Believe

Why She's a Girl From the Chainstore
What Do I Get?
Orgasm Addict
Ever Fallen in Love

I've been looking forward to this show since it was booked, and if they play even half of that setlist bunnyman posted I'll be thrilled. The Buzzcocks rock just as hard now as they ever did. I've seen them every time they've come through since the old days and have never been disappointed. Although I am sorry to miss the Yayhoos.

:( too bad, though there's a slight chance I'll still be kind of wiped from the flu (I'm better, but weak, as if I'd been in bed a month instead of shy of a week).
But Jag, the two for one I have is your doing, so it'd be great if you were there!
Twangirl, can we go by early to get in two for one? I'm assuming that, due to the offer, there's no chance it'll sell out….?
Everyone going, if I'm there, I'll be in my black Amoeba t-shirt….

I've had this on the calendar since it was announced, and am legs-crossingly looking forward to it.
