Holy Radiohead Tour Batman

Call me crazy, but I think a Radiohead show at Constitution Hall would actually be very cool.

it would be nice to be able to catch radiohead within 300 miles of my house, but i wouldn't go to DAR for it. i'd rather travel to philly or elsewhere than go to dar. and i didn't like the tower theater when i went.
i'm eyeing the SF shows.

i thought rh was a big band. on the level of mci arena or merriweather/nisson or at least patriot ctr. ch seems too small.
Originally posted by anarchist:they certainly are, but they seem to be avoiding arena one offs in favor of two night stints at smaller venues. if they are playing the Auditorium in Chicago, for example, why not play at the United Center or the Allstate Arena?

I think they prefer the acoustics of the theaters.

that is a complete guess on my part.
The tower holds about as many people as DAR. Maybe a few hundred more.
Originally posted by anarchist:Normally, they are. They played Merriweather last time around. Did that sell out? I know the reserved seating was filled.

However, this appears to be a get-out-of-the-studio-and-experiment type tour. Not exactly a big scale tour.
after reading six million and three radiohead articles/sites etc…i am now guessing DC doesnt even get a show on this tour.
so pack your bags for Philly people!

Radiohead to play Boston's Bank of American Pavilion on June 4th and 5th.
does this mean, hope for Merriweather?
or do they just hate the DC area!

Actually, I think that Seth and any of the other promoters are afraid of tempting the weather gods. Especially considering that they would be in the area so close to the HFStival.
does rolling stone just have seth on speed dial for quotes about the touring industry? seems like he's in every "why aren't people coming to shows anymore?" piece that they run every couple of months
Originally posted by Jaguar:also the BOA pavilion is MUCH smaller than Merriweather..but its outside. :)

Originally posted by Jaguar:yeah. that hfstival lineup will outdraw radiohead by a lot.
