Oooo many more than Ten:
1: Libertines vs British Sea Power
1: Arthur Lee and Love (thanksa again Kosmo for dragging us along)
3Lambchop
4The Tyde
5Adam Green at the Makor in NY
6 The Decemberists
7Cinerama (wait this belongs higher)
8 idlewild at Baltimore (that was this year, right?)
9Adam Green at pier 54 in NY
10 Supergrass and the Coral
11Detroit Cobras, something about hearing three songs outside and then getting let in for four songs made it oddly magical.

In no particular order but I too know I am missing some:
1. Sex Pistols - 9:30
2. Sigur Ros - 9:30 second night (only one I was at)
3. Explosions in the Sky - The Ottobar

5. American Analog Set - Black Cat
6. Yo La Tengo - 9:30

10. Dismemberment Plan - 9:30. Was a great show.
Some honorable mentions:
Bardo Pond at Fletchers
The Fall at the Black Cat (despite the uberfallfan there hoping up and down and whistling)

Johnny Marr…(it was this year wasn't it?)
Badly Drawn Boy
Belle & Sebastian
Lamont/Worrystones
Waterboys
That's all I can remember right now, there's probably a couple more which I don't recall but were also good because I haven't seen a bad show in 03.

a little surprised noone has mentioned the Ash show at the Black Cat - I thought they were excellent
my ever deteriorating memory ensures I will forget some but those that stick in my mind are
Grandaddy/Super Furries @ 9.30
Cinerama @ Black Cat
Alejandro Escovedo @ Iota
Throwing Muses @ Irving Plaza
Decemberists @ Black Cat
to be honest I can't remember being terribly dissapointed with any show this year
I can feel in my bones that the Ted Leo show on Sat will be good

White Stripes- Hammerstein Ballroom NYC
White Stripes- Smith Center
Radiohead- MPP
Libertines- Black Cat
Television- 9:30
Sex Pistols- 9:30
REM- Patriot Center
Pearl Jam- MPP
Strokes- UMBC
Bad Brains/Soul Brains- 9:30
Big year for nostalgia shows. Didn't see enough new music, or enough music period. Both White Stripes shows were disappointing (NYC show was too short; Smith Center show could have been higher energy) but were still my favorite shows of the year.
Bring on the Pixies and the Stooges in '04! (and another round of Stripes shows . . .)
