ok. . .let's discuss. . .if people are fine with the yahoo scoring breakdown, then i'll set up a yahoo group. here is the yahoo scoring breakdown:
Round Correct Pick
First 1 point
Second 2 points
Third 4 points
Fourth 8 points
Semifinals 16 points
Finals 32 points
Maximum Possible 192 points
if people are not happy with that, then i'll be open to other options. . .
oh, and as for cost. . .$5 per bracket. sound good???

The group name is AnyoneButDuke and y'all are welcome to join in…

I've run a pool for about 15 years of family and friends across the nation. With people across the nation you get a good mix of fans of different conferences and a good mix of varied picks. I use paypal as well. I also offer a few ways to get at least your money back.
THE RULES:
1) The cost is $10.00 [paypal offered]
2) All picks must be made on the CBS web site by 11:30 ET THURSDAY MORNING
3) Pick all games
4) Pick one "BIGGEST BLOWOUT" (INCLUDING THE POINT SPREAD - TIE WILL SPLIT) and email it to vansmack@msn.com by tip-off Thursday.
5) Standings will be available on the Web Site after each game.
6) Points are as follows:
FIRST ROUND WIN: 1 POINT EACH (32 TOTAL)
SECOND ROUND: 2 POINTS (32 TOTAL)
SWEET SIXTEEN: 4 POINTS (32 TOTAL)
ELITE EIGHT: 8 POINTS (32 TOTAL)
FINAL FOUR: 12 POINTS (24 TOTAL)
CHAMPION: 16 POINTS
7) PRIZES:
MOST POINTS: 2/3 POT (TIE SPLITS WHOLE POT)
SECOND POINTS: 1/3 POT
MOST WINS: $10.00
LAST PLACE: $10.00
BIGGEST BLOWOUT: $10.00
PM me an email address or email vansmack@msn.com for an invite.

ok. . since sonick's paypal is on the fritz. . i'll put it together. . .however, since i'm lazy, i'm gonna use the yahoo point scoring . . .so, big bonuses to people who get the final four right. . .i'll put the info on here in a few minutes. .
$10 a bracket. . .pm me to let me know you're putting in a bracket so i can send out my paypal info. while i'd like all everyone to pay by the end of the week, i'm a reasonable person. . .so, please pay by sweet sixteen. . .i don't want to have send my boyz out to get $10 from ya.
as for the winnings. . .i think last year i did 2/3 for first and 1/3 for second. . .but i'm open to suggestions. . .

I always like the partypoker tourney split
1st: 50%, 2nd: 30%, 3rd: 20%
The brackets are such a crapshoot anyway, I think it's better to cut more from the 1st place finisher.

oh, and I think we should make the brackets $5 each … it will encourage more people to join, and that's all that really matters anyway … plus you can sign up for multiple brackets on yahoo, right? so you could put in 3 or 4 brackets if you want …

if so, I can be the keeper of the brackets, and Bede can be the holder of the money, so you send your money to him and your bracket to me.
does that work then?
well, yahoo automatically updates the point totals. . .so, no need to have a bracketkeeper, i think.
well. . .here's the details of the league. . .
Yahoo Group ID: 60742

thanks everyone!
