The Washington Capitals traded all-time leading scorer Peter Bondra to the Ottawa Senators on Wednesday for center Brooks Laich and a second-round pick in 2005.

Get rid of Jagr (that has to be one of the worst trades/signings ever - up there with Pay-Rod to Texas for 1/4 bill)

Dump all other NHL caliber players

Send prospects away to minors

Lose all games
