My friends Scott & Janice (and a couple folks they brought with them) enjoyed the last Big One…was the turnout small?
I'll do what I can to spread the word for the 5th…wish I weren't out of town (and, to my chagrin, no shows of note in San Fran to make up for it…except that damn Fire Theft/Saves the Day/Grandaddy bill, which I'm completely disinterested in….).Thank you so much for that—I really appreciate the help on getting the word out, and that goes out to any of you guys on the board that tell people you know about this night. I'd like to think that the "Big One" can survive if enough people know about it and the *right* people know about it…

Hopefully it won't be a case where everyone is either at The Church or at Cooper Temple. I'm crossing my fingers…
perhaps the march 5th date could be changed seeing how a lot of 930 bbers will be at temper cooper clause/church/paul kelly, etc? just a thought? i'd be there but i'm going to the church and paul kelly that night.

my suggestion for new music discussion is along the lines of how another local has/had been doing it… it's called a "pop shootout" and people get together and play groups/albums/songs to those attending and give a little background on each. this is an lazy weekend afteroon actvity away from a smokey loud and crowded bar. drinks, muchies are all encouraged along with the music of course…
