awesome
sigh…I can't believe how much money I threw away by trashing all of my flyers after I got out of college. :(
I guess I should be happy that I scored some of them from Bert Queiroz back in the early 90's when he'd sell at local record shows, some of those flyers are going for crazy fucking $$$. George@Vinyl Ink had those Misfits flyers for days for around $15 way back when; though of course my stupid ass never picked any up haha. To each their own but I can't see paying $200+ for a small offset printed piece; though if any Globe posters of the Punk/Funk spectacular shows surfaced (got #2 and need #1, anyone? anyone? haha) I suppose I'd be one of the first to throw down hundreds of dollars w/o question.
Minor Threat Flyer

This is one the flyers I saw in college that made me want to go into design. Maybe I should….

I like this part:

PROVENANCE: This record is unconditionally guaranteed to be 100% original, and comes from the punk archives of Jeff Nelson ( Minor Threat / Dischord Records / Adult Swim Records ), which are being downsized after having recently been described as "too big" and "insane."

That's where I went to high school.
Bid three hundred and still did not get it. Though PayPal money seems like it is not real money, that is getting pretty pricey for a 11 x 17 poster.
there is no valid reason to spend that much money on a freakin' flyer…
Yes it is. I got a note from him that a bunch of people placed bids and then renegged so it looks like it still may be available. But yeah, $300 is pretty steep.

I bought a new iPod instead to replace my three year-old one. Totally worth it.

That flyer is totally beautiful. My dad threw out a large box that contained my archives when I went to college. Still haven't really forgiven him for it.

Did you win the bid? I'm kinda with Doom in that I don't think I'd pay $300 plus for a vintage flyer, but, damn, that's a really frickin' cool piece of ephemera…
I used to have a wall full of DC music flyers which I threw out myself years ago. :( My flyers ran more towards DC's art-punk scene than harDCore though… 9353, Crippled Pilgrims, Velvet Monkeys, and all those zillions of cool little bands that played for one or two shows before breaking up…
