anyone know why 8 military helicopters have come from the capitol area across NW over the last half-hour or so?

you should live where i do, out in the country side. we see "strange" helicopters (usually black hawks) all the time. and to make it even better, they only come around at night, as if to hide their clear and present danger.
these weren't really strange, or black … those VIP carriers you see around the city, and there were a bunch of them in a real short period, just never seen em like that before … reminded me of "the sum of all fears" or something =)
Sounds like some folk are a little paranoid!
those are UN helicopters. They are preparing to seize sovereignty and revoke your second amendment rights!
